HELLO - MY NAME IS TASHA PARKER

Welcome to my blog!

Let me tell you a little bit about me, my name is Tasha Parker, I have transplanted from Ontario, Canada to the great state of Texas in the United States in 2008. I married the love of my life and began my journey here.

I started dabbling in Photography and found that it was something that I loved. My early days of photography lead into discovering my artistic side that I never knew quite existed. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I found that my leisure time was very limited, and it did not allow me to dabble much in photography, so I ventured away from it. Over the years I would pick my camera and try to carve out some time to make a business out of it, this was successful but still limited on time. So eventually put down the camera and found other ways to tap into my creativity.

With limited time I started to work on small DIY home projects, this allowed me to devote time to the projects based on the availability in my schedule.  I worked out great because I was able to relax and create, all at the same time, MULTITASKING something I DO WELL. As I began to build some confidence in myself, I also expanded my tool collection, each project required a special and before I knew it, I had a whole tool shop.

If I asked my 2008 self, “Hey, do ever plan on owning any tools?” I can guarantee the answer would be, “No”.  Yet here I am, with more tools than my husband. Now I have people asking if I can make them a custom this or refurbish that or "How do you do this?".

I am hoping that by sharing my experiences, I can provide someone help or inspiration to tackle their next DIY home decor project.
